I was born in a small town in the west of England called Glastonbury, which is famous for its enormous music festival. But I grew up in the city of Cambridge, which is of course famous for its university and students.

At the age of 22 I went travelling for a year and I spent most of that time in India, which is where my teaching journey started. I volunteered as an English teacher in a Tibetan organisation in the foothills of the Himalayas for three months, mostly teaching the local Tibetans-in-exile.

After this experience I decided to pursue a career in teaching, which took me to Madrid where I lived for 4 years before finally settling in Bilbao in 2020.
